The Ginger Hot Toddy

One of our favorite drinks in the winter; hot toddies. They are warming, and tasty. Perfect to cozy up to on a cold winter night, and help to reduce the sicknesses that seem to linger for longer than we would like. We like to add some whiskey for a kick, but it can be omitted and is still delicious.
What You’ll Need:
- A couple slices of fresh ginger (preferred), or a ginger tea bag
- Boiling water to steep
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 oz apple cider
- 1 oz bourbon whiskey
What to Do:
- Take your tea bag, or sliced ginger, and set in a tea cup. Fill half way with boiling water and allow to steep for 3 minutes.
- Add lemon juice, apple cider, and whiskey and stir.
- You can remove the ginger at this point if you don’t want it getting too spicy. Otherwise, leave it in for a nice kick for that cold.
- Drink immediately.
