Green Smoothie

It is certainly hard to get a green smoothie tasting, well, not so green. So we tested some different ingredients and of course failed a few times, but finally found a delicious combination that is not too sweet, but not too bitter either. Kale is great for detoxifying your body and is filled with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Combine that with some sweet fruits, nutty accents and a hint of spice, this smoothie is a great kick start to your morning for a lively and productive day. Please enjoy.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup raw kale, stems removed and washed
  • 1 cup raw spinach
  • 1 frozen banana
  • Handful frozen grapes
  • A few sprigs of parsley
  • 1/4 cup raw milk (or yogurt)
  • Handful nuts of your choice (we used raw almonds and cashews)

Note: You can try adding some mint or lemon to brighten it up.

What to Do:

  1. Blend nuts first, then add the remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth. If it is too thick, add some water or more grapes.
