Sarah Buckley, M.D.
Dr. Sarah Buckley is a family physician, author of the best-selling book Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering, and mother of four home-born children. She has a special interest in the hormones of labor and birth, and her 2002 article, “Ecstatic Birth, Nature’s Hormonal Blueprint for Labour,” was one of the most popular ever published by Mothering magazine. Her 2015 report, “Hormonal Physiology of Childbearing,” has been described as “one of the most revolutionary and influential publications on maternity and newborn care ever issued.” Sarah is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Queensland as well as a writer and lecturer on pregnancy, birth, and parenting.
